Stella Maxwell (born 15 May 1990) is a Northern Irish fashion model. Since 2015 she has been one of Victoria’s Secret’s Angels.
Born in Belgium to Northern Irish parents (her father is a diplomat), Maxwell was raised in Belgium until she was 13 years old, where she attended the European School, Woluwe. She then moved with her family to Canberra, Australia, where they stayed for one year before moving to Wellington, New Zealand when she was 14. She attended Queen Margaret College and the University of Otago, where she was discovered as a model.
Her first fashion show was in the year 2009 with Ready to Wear – Autumn / Winter 2009 wherein she proudly walked the ramp for Charles Anastase, Mara Hoffman, Fashion East, Luella, and Osman Yousefzada.
She walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014 where she was credited. In 2015, she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
Throughout her career, she has advertised Alexander McQueen, Asos, Ermanno Scervino, H&M, Puma, River Island, Urban Outfitters, Vianel, and Victoria’s Secret. She walked for Fashion Rocks, Giles, Jeremy Scott, Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, Fendi, Balmain and others.
She has done editorials for several fashion magazines including 7000, Bullet, Dossier, Dress to Kill, Elle, Elle Italia, Elle UK, Glamour, i-D, Interview, Jalouse (fr), Madame Figaro, Mixte, Numéro, Purple, The Last Magazine, Vogue España, Vogue Italia, Vogue Japan, and Vogue UK.
In 2016, Maxwell was voted No. 1 in 2016 Maxim’s “Hot 100 List”.
Maxwell splits her time between Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York.
